FROM THE NORTH: From the (Mi-Roma) A1 highway exit  at the Chiusi - Chianciano Terme offramp onto SP146. Turn left at the first cross toward Chianciano Terme. After 2km on your left you will find a gasoline pump; keep on going for 200mt and on your right you will find the country lane to Poggio Piglia.

FROM THE SOUTH: From the (Mi-Roma) A1 highway exit at the Chiusi Chianciano Terme offramp onto SP146. Turn left at the first cross toward Chianciano. After 2km on your left you will find a gasoline pump; keep on going for 200mt and on your right you will find the country lane to Poggio Piglia.

 

BY TRAIN

The nearest station in this conveniently located part of South Tuscany is Chiusi Scalo which forms part of the railway connecting Rome to Florence.
Cross country trains run from here to Siena, Perugia and Arezzo within 30 minutes.
Once at the Chiusi station you can either take a taxi or ask the front office to arrange a transfer to Poggio Piglia.

ARRIVING FROM FIRENZE (PERETOLA- AMERIGO VESPUCCI) AIRPORT:

  •  BY TRAIN - From the Amerigo Vespucci airport you have to take a taxi to the Firenze S.M.N train station and then the train to Chiusi Chianciano Terme. The Chiusi-Chianciano Terme railway station is on the route Milano-Bologna-Firenze-Roma, halfway between Florence and Rome; it can be easily reached both from Florence and Rome in under two hours. Trains leave from Florence to Chiusi every hour. For information regarding train timetables you can check the TRENITALIA schedule. In front of the Chiusi train station you can either take a taxi or ask the front office to arrange a transfer to Poggio Piglia.
  •  BY BUS - From the Amerigo Vespucci airport you have to take a taxi to the LFI bus station located in Piazza Adua 2, Firenze (in front of the Firenze S.M.N. train station square). From there, you can take a direct bus to Chiusi. In front of the Chiusi train station there is the LFI bus stop to go to Macciano.
  • BY CAR - At the Amerigo Vespucci airport there are different car rental that you can choose. You have to drive down on the A1 Highway (Firenze-Roma) and exit to the right at the Chiusi Chianciano Terme offramp onto SP146. Then follow the indication to Macciano on the right.

ARRIVING FROM PISA (GALILEO-GALILEI) AIRPORT:

  • BY TRAIN - From the Galileo Galilei airport there is a direct railway line that connects the airport to Pisa Central Station and Florence every day. From there, you have to change trains and board the line to Chiusi-Chianciano Terme (the trip takes approximately 3h and trains usually leave every hour). In front of the Chiusi train station you can either take a taxi or ask the front office to arrange a transfer to Poggio Piglia.
  • BY BUS - From the Galileo Galilei airport an excellent bus network provides easy access from Pisa Airport to Florence S.M. Novella Station (approximately 70 minutes). In front of the Florence station (Piazza Adua 2), you can take a direct LFI bus to Chiusi. In front of the Chiusi train station there is the LFI bus stop to go to Macciano.
  • BY CAR - At the Galileo Galilei Airport there are various different car rental companies to choose from. The airport has direct access to the Firenze-Pisa Nord A11 motorway (through the Pisa Nord linking stretch with the A12 towards Florence). Arriving to Florence you have to take the A1 Highway (Firenze-Roma) and drive up to exit at the Chiusi Chianciano Terme offramp onto SP146. Then follow the indication to Macciano on the right.

ARRIVING FROM ROME (FIUMICINO – LEONARDO DA VINCI) AIRPORT

  •  BY TRAIN - First of all you have to take a train from the Fiumicino airport to the Roma Termini train station where you have to change train to take one to Chiusi Chianciano Terme. The Chiusi-Chianciano Terme railway station is on the route Milano-Bologna-Firenze-Roma, halfway between Florence and Rome; it can be easily reached both from Florence and Rome in about an hour and forty minute. Usually there is a train from Florence to Chiusi every hour. For information about the train timetable you can check the TRENITALIA schedule
  • BY CAR - At the Fiumicino Airport there are various different car rental companies to choose from. You have to drive up on the A1 Highway (Roma-Firenze) and exit at the Chiusi Chianciano Terme exit offramp onto SP146. Then follow the indication to Macciano on the right.

In any case, from everywhere you are, our front office will always be available to organize a transfer to get to Poggio Piglia.
