Cooking class

Our cooking classes are a journey into the true essence of Tuscan and Italian cuisine, highlighting the finest dishes and freshest ingredients from our orchard and the region. Guests are taught by our Chef how to recreate dishes prepared at Poggio Pigla in their own home. The programs offered are short classes followed by dinner and guests can choose to focus on local specialties or dishes from the Italian tradition.
 
The flavours of Tuscany can also be purchased as gifts (our oil and our Sangiovese wine) – the perfect Poggio Piglia mementoes to take home with you. Wines originating from some of Italy's most important wine areas are well represented in our Restaurant and Bar: Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and, of course, the “Super Tuscans”. The taste of these legendary wines might persuade you to visit the wineries where they were produced.

Option 1: Emotion Cooking Class
€ 80 per person - an hour and a half
 
1.Starter typical tuscan: “Crostini alla toscana”
Tuscan crostini with chicken liver pate
 
2. First course: “Pici al ragout bianco di carne Chianina”
Tagliatelle/Pici fresh home made with a white Chianina sauce
 
Option 2: Tuscany Cooking Class
€ 120 per person - two hours
 
1.Starter typical tuscan: “Crostini alla toscana”
Tuscan crostini with chicken liver pate
 
2. First course: “Pici al ragout bianco di carne Chianina”
Tagliatelle/Pici fresh home made with a white Chianina sauce
 
3. Second course: “Tagliata di Scottona Toscana con riduzione di Sangiovese Rosso Poggio Piglia”
Fillet of veal with red wine San Giovese di Poggio Piglia
 
All the two options Including lesson and preparation with our Chef of dishes.
Dishes prepared during the lessons will be served on dinner without any other payment.
